How RPL Works

  • 1. Assessment of Experience – Submit a digital portfolio or evidence of your work (projects, policies, implementations, leadership, etc.).
  • 2. Mapping to Standards – Your portfolio is assessed against the competencies required for the relevant designation.
  • 3. Recognition – Once approved, you gain credit towards the designation without having to complete unnecessary modules.
  • 4. Bridging (if needed) – If some gaps are identified, you may complete short learning modules or assessments to meet the full requirements.

🎓 Certified Professional: IT Compliance – NQF Level 7

- For professionals with 5–10 years’ experience in IT compliance, risk, or governance. - RPL Route: Recognition of experience + submission of a research-based professional article. - Career Roles: Senior Risk Manager, Privacy Lead, AI Oversight Specialist

Chartered Chief IT Compliance Officer (CITCO(SA)) – NQF Level 8

- For executives and leaders with 10+ years’ experience. - RPL Route: Submission of a dissertation + peer-reviewed assessment + publication of a professional article. - Career Roles: Chief Compliance Officer, Head of IT Governance, Digital Ethics Strategist
